Beam pairs or motion detectors?
Active infrared beams use a transmitter and receiver facing each other. Interrupting the invisible path can trigger an alarm.
Outdoor motion detectors, including suitable Paradox models, detect movement within their designed sensing area. They do not create the visible blue paths shown in the illustration.
We recommend the right type and placement after assessing entrances, pets, vegetation and the alarm panel.
